Peter trained as a criminal solicitor in London, and worked as a partner in a large legal aid practice in Greater London before moving back to his home town of Manchester in 2017. Peter formerly worked as a Senior Crown Prosecutor before returning to defence in 2021. He undertakes private and legal aid criminal work of all descriptions, and specialises in serious violence offences and extradition.
Peter has successfully defended multi-handed murder cases, rapes, woundings, robberies, drug importations, frauds, domestic burglaries and kidnap. Peter is known for his tenacious application of case law and for applications to exclude evidence and stay proceedings.
