Operation Perhaps was launched by Staffordshire Police Major and an Organised Crime investigation into a large-scale mortgage fraud, tax evasion and money laundering incident. The evidence in the trial exceeded 17,000 pages, with the electronic data served nearing 1Gb of data. Abbey Solicitors argued the appeal against the sentence, persuading Lord Justice Treacy to reduce the sentence from 11 years to 7 years.
