Massive and sustained frauds, said to have cost the legal aid fund in the region of £12.6 million – allegedly committed by solicitors, barristers and judges. Claims stemming from historical Defence Costs Orders claims in allegedly inordinate sums. Trial before Mr Justice Goose in the summer 2019. Defendant was acquitted.
